• Avoid positioning it beneath covered porches or low-hanging trees.
• Refrain from setting it up on wooden decks or grassy areas. Instead, use a non-flammable surface like concrete or patio blocks.

Preparation Measures

• Ascertain that the pit is a minimum of six inches deep at its center and spans at least two feet across.
• Thoroughly scan the area for flammable materials, and avoid lighting a fire in windy conditions.
• Have water, fire blankets, and/or fire extinguishers readily available.
• Use logs that are less than 3/4 the diameter of the pit and ensure they are stored at a safe distance.

Ignition Procedures

• Avoid using lighter fluid. Instead, employ kindling or a starter log.
